Our client is looking for Class 1 Drivers to join their team in Ramsbottom! Our client works with a network of stockists and local builders' merchants throughout the UK who stock a range of landscaping, garden patio and driveway products

Pay

£16 - £21.28 per hour

Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 48 hours per week
  • 04:00 - 07:00 start times
  • Overtime available

The role of a Class 1 Driver

  • Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle before starting the journey.
  • Delivering building supplies
  • Safely load building supplies onto the truck, ensuring the load is secure and evenly distributed.
  • Unload supplies at delivery locations and commercial and residental
  • Plan and follow the most efficient and safe routes to delivery destinations.
  • Ensure all deliveries are made on schedule, adhering to the delivery timeline provided by the dispatch team.
  • Communicate any delays or issues promptly to the relevant parties.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.

Requirements:

  • Must have valid C+E Class 1 licence
  • Must have valid CPC
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • Experience in cranes/drawbars desirable
  • Must hold Digital tachograph card
  • Must not have more than 6 points on licence
  • HIAB, Palfinger roll loader/fixed mounted cranes experience and brick grab experience
  • Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service and a flexible can-do attitude to work
  • Must have a good geographical knowledge
  • Delivering across the network to private customers, building / construction sites, wholesalers, builders' merchants
