It's a 2-year fixed term contract for a CleanroomResearch Assistant - Device Fabrication to contribute to R&D activities within a really cool ongoing project.

If you've worked as a Technician in any kind of semiconductor processing environment, this role will be right up your street. Similarly if you've just graduated and want your first step into industry, this would be a great option.

You will need to be able to travel to Huntingdon.

Your role will include:

• Design, fabrication and characterisation of organic photodetectors (OPDs) using novel organic materials
• Plan and perform investigations of new materials
• Establish structure-property correlations and investigate the impact on device performance
• Analysis of results and provide project recommendations

About You:

• Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or Physics, or industrial experience in a similar cleanroom/lab setting
• Ideally, your experience should cover a wide range of Device Fabrication and Metrology techniques, such as Spin-coating and Surface Profilometry
• Familiarity with Python, LabView or SQL would be preferred
• Confident technical communicator who can deliver clear conclusions from analysis of research activities
• Clear, demonstrable understanding of relevant theoretical backgrounds
• Superb attention to detail
• Creative problem-solving abilities
• Keen to work within industry
