Introduction
I am delighted to be working exclusively for a long-standing client of mine, a well-established, customer centric SaaS provider, who through positive change and exciting growth plans for 2025, are now looking to recruit a new Client Development Manager to develop relationships and revenue within its existing customer base.
The leadership is fun, personable and supportive but have high standards within the team and a high standard of service to its client is expected.
The role of Client Development Manager
As a Client Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key clients, ensuring they fully leverage the software to optimise their field service operations.
You will focus on client retention, up selling, and strategic account development, working closely with internal teams to provide an outstanding customer experience.
Key responsibilities of a Client Development Manager
Build and maintain strong partnerships with key accounts, acting as a trusted advisor.
Pro-actively engage with clients to ensure they are maximising the value of the platform, reducing churn, and increasing customer satisfaction levels.
Identify opportunities to introduce additional features, modules, or services that align with client needs.
Work directly with clients during on boarding to configure and tailor the solution to their individual requirements
Provide hands-on support to ensure a seamless implementation and full adoption of the platform.
Work closely with clients to understand their long-term goals and challenges, providing tailored solutions.
Gather insights from clients and collaborate with the Product team to drive improvements.
Monitor client usage, engagement, and performance data to develop insights that inform growth strategies.
Work with Marketing teams to develop client engagement initiatives and support renewals.
Essential Requirements
Experience in Client Development, Account Management within a SaaS business.
Passion for understanding client needs and delivering exceptional service.
Strong commercial acumen with experience in up selling, contract renewals, and account expansion.
Proven ability to build and develop relationships
Proven ability in providing hands-on support to clients during on boarding, tailoring the solution to their specific needs and ensuring a seamless implementation process.
Ability to analyse data and performance metrics to drive decision-making.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritise effectively.
Proven ability in delivering comprehensive training sessions to equip clients with the knowledge and skills needed to fully utilise the platform's features and functionalities.
Proficiency in CRM and customer success tools (e.g. HubSpot).
