Client Events Specialist (13 Month FTC) - Global Law Firm
A great new events opportunity has opened up with a global law firm who require a Clients Events Specialist to join their outstanding team of professionals on a 13 month fixed term contract basis to cover a period of maternity leave.
The Clients Events Specialist will support the Associate Director, Global Events in the successful management and organisation of client events across EMEA and North America, including overseas travel. The successful applicant will enjoy a hands-on position that will include the execution of signature client events, seminars, receptions, round tables and virtual programs in addition to supporting diversity, talent and alumni events. Serving as the lead project manager for events from initial creative design and pre-planning stages through to on-site execution, you will be responsible for preparing event proposals and managing event budgets, ensuring that expenses are within the approved budget and processing all related payments and invoices. Updating all stakeholders regularly on project progress, the role holder will select and secure appropriate venues, liaise with key stakeholders regarding invitations and mailing lists, arrange for the production of event materials and coordinate the purchase and distribution of promotional items and client gifts. Tracking all events and ROI using the firm’s Events Hub software will represent an important aspect of the role.
With a passion for event production, execution and logistics, the ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with proven event planning experience, both in-person and virtually, preferably gained in a fast paced law firm or professional services environment. Detail-oriented and highly organised, applicants will need excellent communication and negotiation skills, a sound knowledge of vendors and venues and will be able to demonstrate past success in managing and executing multiple events simultaneously with limited supervision. An ability to travel and work outside of office hours, including travel overseas, and working knowledge of CRM and email management system tools and interest in emerging events technologies will also be essential.
