Client Manager /Accountant, Holmfirth, £35,000+

Due to continued growth, an accountancy practice in Holmfirth is recruiting for an Accountant/Client Manager to join their team. There is the opportunity to progress to a management position.

Duties

  • Accounts preparation
  • Preparing corporation and business tax computations
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, interacting with them on a regular basis
  • Attending client meetings
  • Prepare and understand budgets for clients
  • Technical awareness for accounting and tax changes that would impact clients
  • An ability to prepare management accounts and financial models in excel
  • Training junior members of the team
  • Assisting with remuneration/dividend planning
  • Assisting with statutory audits as required on occasion
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects and accountancy work when required

Requirements

  • Practice Accountancy experience, ideally AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified, qualified by experience will also be considered.
  • Experienced with completing year-end accounts
  • Experience of mentoring junior members.
  • Experience using Iris, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks would be desirable, training can be provided on the software systems.
