Role responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients across sectors including agriculture, retail, and professional services
• Preparing and reviewing accounts, tax returns and VAT submissions
• Advising clients on business performance, tax efficiency and financial strategy
• Acting as a main point of contact for client queries and relationship management
• Supervising and mentoring junior team members and reviewing their work
• Ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met across the portfolio
• Supporting wider business development efforts and contributing to firm growth

Candidate requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified with at least five years’ experience in an accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge in accounts preparation and tax compliance
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver commercial advice
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience managing and mentoring junior staff
• A proactive, personable approach and commitment to client service
