The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, analysing, and mitigating operational risk issues across Client Facing teams, developing process enhancements, and ensuring the effectiveness of controls.
This role is ideal for someone with a keen understanding of risk, excellent communication skills, and a drive to learn about the Wealth Management business.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Identify and analyse operational risk issues, developing strategies for mitigation.
- Enhance processes and develop smarter outcomes to drive down key risk indicators (KRIs), including CASS breaches and operational events.
- Proactively sample processes to identify opportunities for improvement and create control-based solutions.
- Prepare for meetings and focus groups, including the production of materials and other initiatives.
- Monitor KRIs, Management Information, and other relevant data.
- Organise and deliver targeted training for Client Facing Teams across multiple office locations, as required.
- Ensure timely delivery of expected outcomes and regular management reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- An understanding of Risk.
- Good standard of written and spoken English, including report writing.
- Proficiency in numerical analysis and MS Office 365.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work without supervision once a task is set.
- Initiative to suggest solutions and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Well-organised, focused, confident, and calm under pressure.
- Experience in Wealth/Asset management is preferable, but not essential.
