Role: Cloud FinOps Engineer
Location: This role can either be based in our Leeds or Bristol offices. Hybrid model of 3 days a week in the office.
Salary: £72,000

Background on the role:
As our client moves to the Public Cloud, managing cloud costs effectively is crucial. The Cloud FinOps Specialist will play a key role in ensuring cloud investments are optimized, minimizing waste, and maximizing value.
Role Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Manage relationships with engineers, finance partners, and cloud providers to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Promote FinOps Practices: Encourage a cost-efficient cloud usage culture across the organization, identifying and implementing optimization opportunities.
- Monitor Cloud Spend: Track cloud expenditures, working with teams to identify cost-saving measures and optimize cloud usage.
Your Impact:
- Cost Management: Optimize cloud usage to reduce waste and maximize value.
- Financial Oversight: Develop budgets and forecasts for cloud consumption and link activities to financial processes.
- Policy Improvement: Establish policies to detect waste and improve cost transparency and accountability.
What We're Looking For:
- Scripting Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Terraform for automated cost optimization.
- Data Analysis: Experience in building cloud cost analysis and visualizations using tools like Looker or Tableau.
- Cloud Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud fundamentals and cost management.
