£13.87 per hour + shift allowance

A Redditch based, Industry leading Manufacturer are looking for CMM Operators to join their night shift or weekends shift team. At this state-of-the-art facility, the business design, manufacture, and assemble precision forged and machined components for a variety of industries.
A successful CMM Operator will support the manufacturing and quality departments by carrying out dimensional inspection using a Coordinate Measuring Machine. The software is PC-DMIS, so the position will ideally suit candidates with previous experience, but candidates with experience of other packages will be considered.

Main Responsibilities of the CMM Operator:
- Initial Sample Inspection Reports
- General Measurements for production processes
- To ensure the safe operation of CMM Machines
- Support New Part Introduction Process
- Influence Machine Utilisation and Right First Time Measures.
- Ensure product quality and batch traceability is maintained at all time
- Ensure all documentation is recorded accurately as defined by procedures
- Calibration of gauges and fixtures

An ideal Candidate should have the following:
- Proven experience in CMM Operation (PCDMIS software preferred)
- Good understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings, specifications and geometric tolerance
- Experience of an automotive / aerospace manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control
