Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for an experienced, CMM programmer to join a leading manufacturer based in Sheffield.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing site and is keen to further progress their career, in a period of growth.

As the CMM Programmer you will be:

  • Own CMM program portion for Manufacturing Readiness for assigned programs so planned jobs are ready to run effectively on schedule. Ensure completion of tasks either by execution or work of other team members
  • Own CMM programming & Continuous improvement activity - partner with quality team ensuring measurement systems are in place and meet or exceeding process requirements
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed

To be considered for the CMM Programmer role you will need:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing) preferred or equivalent 10+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in CMM programming (Zeiss Calypso / PCDMIS / Mcosmos). Experience in optimizing processes, programs and cycle times 
  • Grasp of manufacturing engineering fundamentals – engineering drawing and specification interpretation, GD&T, Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFMA), and process documentation
  • Experience with problem solving and driving root cause solutions (8D, DMAIC, etc) and coaching others. Knowledge of measurement systems and process capability
