We are working with a specialist manufacturer in North Essex with well equipped, well kept, and modern facilities, who are looking to hire a CNC Lead to manage the day to day operations of production.

The successful candidate will have oversight of a team of two, and be working in a machine shop with a number of XYZ machines that use Siemens and Proto TRAK controls. 

This is a full time, permanent position working 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. 

The company provide a range of desirable benefits including a health care cash plan, and an extra day's leave on your birthday. 

Candidates will need to have access to their own vehicle due to the company's scenic rural location.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the department's day to day operations 

- Supervise a team of machinists providing guidance, training, appraisals, performance feedback

- Job planning

- Manual machining, turning, milling, offline programming, CNC programming

- Develop and maintain documents including SOPs, work instructions and manuals

- Quality checks

Skills & Experience required:

- CNC Setter / Operator / Programming experience

- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and manuals

- Leadership qualities including ability to motivate the team

- Understanding of G-Code
