CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our clients production team at a leading Manufacturer in the Northeast of England. With over 40 years of experience, they specialise in manufacturing components and systems in the oil & gas sector. 

Day to Day of the role:
  • Operate CNC machines, including turning and milling, to produce products that meet required quality standards and specifications.
  • Program CNC machines using Fanuc or Heidenhain systems, depending on the role.
  • Understand and work within specified tolerances, geometric tolerances, and surface finishes.
  • Use various measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs, and ring gauges.
  • Work with a wide range of materials including Non-Ferrous, Aluminium, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment and contribute to a positive work culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Time-served CNC machinist with turning and/or milling experience.
  • Experience in a CNC Machining/Industrial Engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of materials and the ability to work to precise specifications.
  • Strong understanding of measuring equipment and quality control processes.
