Elevation Recruitment Groups Skilled Shop Floor Team are delighted to be working in partnership with a manufacturing business based within the Rotherham area.

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join the team at this exciting time of expansion.

SALARY: up to £35,000

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00, Friday 08:30 - 16:00

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set and operate Fanuc controlled CNC turning machines
  • Work to customer specifications with minimal supervision once trained.
  • Maintain high quality while working to tight tolerances, taking responsibility for you own work.
  • Use initiative to understand and follow the manufacturing process.
  • Report tooling requirements to your immediate supervisor. 
  • Maintain a clean and organised working area.
  • Take a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks related to your role, and control or report them to management as appropriate.
  • Identify hazards effectively. 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience as a CNC operator
  • Proficient in using hand tools, mills and other machinery
  • Understanding of tooling operations
  • Strong attention to detail and precision
  • Engineering based qualification or time served
