WEEK 1: MONDAY - FRIDAY: 06.00 - 14.00

WEEK 2 MONDAY - WEDNESDAY: 14.00 - 00.00  & THURSDAY: 14.00 - 23.30

£26,000 PER ANNUM + £15.00 SHIFT ALLOWANCE

People Solutions are looking for a CNC Operator for our client based in Bristol.

Day to Day Duties

• Adherence to health and safety at all times
• Checks to material allocated to be cut, length, width, thickness, spec, alloy, grain direction, lot number before cutting
• Checks to cut plan, and any additional drawings to agree with advised sizes on sale order before cutting
• Cuts and verifies parts are within customer required tolerances, using tape, micrometre, and calliper instruments
• Program CNC for operation
• Checks to first off cut piece, and random checks during the sale order, Belfast specific 100% dimension checks on all parts for C/29 (Bombardier)
• Marks each part with hard stamp, grain flow, USD, lot number
• Label each part with any required SP requirements
• Performs daily maintenance checks for CNC.
• Weighs all cut pieces and rems
• Ensures all cut material is on a fit for purpose pallet or skids for safe packaging
• Maintain Quality standards throughout the operational process and assists and develops process improvements to drive AMS forward
• Manual lifting up to 20kgs
• Ensure productivity sheets are completed each day
• All PPE must be worn, no exception
• Performs daily housekeeping including the surrounding work area and metal saw
• Empties the swarf skip when required and any waste bins at the end of the shift
• Ensures all rems have the relevant information on the rem sticker, and on the rem itself
• Performs stocktake duties and general warehouse duties when required

Essential Skills

• Basic mathematical skills including add, subtract, divide, common fractions and decimals
• Experience operating machinery and metal processing
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work using own initiative
• Attention to detail
• Able to communicate with individuals at all levels
• Good team working skills
• Time management skills

Training 

Training in company policy and procedure will be provided to successful candidates.
