Are you an experienced CNC Setter? Our client specialises in the design, simulation, development and manufacture of powertrain systems, electronics, and software for Motorsport, Automotive and Marine applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business management and be able to lead by example, demonstrating effective behaviours and providing clear direction whilst delivering an outstanding service.

Contract (3-6 Months)
£25-£30 Per Hour
Days or Late Shifts (8 Hours Per Day)

CNC Setter
Job Description
  • Programming, setting and operating twin spindle turning applications.
  • Using Siemens Sinumerik 828D and 840D Controls.
  • Good understanding of Engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Maintaining high standards of documentation / product traceability.
  • Working to tight tolerances.
  • Using inspection equipment to check own work.
  • Working with Design Engineers to make and suggest improvements to the design processes.
  • Suggesting improvements of manufacturing methods.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Familiarity of twin spindle turning applications
  • Experience of Siemens Sinumerik 828D and 840D Controls
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing environment using the above controls
  • A logical approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility for working shifts.
