Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Turner to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have experience in programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision components according to specifications. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in engineering and machining processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming and Setting:
    • Program CNC turning machines using G-code and CAD/CAM software.
    • Set up and prepare CNC turning machines for operation, including tooling and fixtures.
    • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production.
  • Operation:
    • Operate CNC turning machines to produce high-quality components.
    • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and adherence to quality standards.
    • Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain product quality and meet production targets.
  • Quality Control:
    • Perform first-off inspections and in-process checks to ensure components meet specifications.
    • Identify and rectify any machining issues or defects.
    • Maintain accurate records of production and quality data.
  • Maintenance:
    • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC turning machines.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues.
    • Report any major maintenance needs to the maintenance team.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the production team to optimise machining processes and improve efficiency.
    • Communicate effectively with engineers and quality control personnel to ensure seamless production.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner, with a strong background in programming and setting CNC turning machines.
  • Proficiency in using G-code and CAD/CAM software.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and materials.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
