Collections Advisor

Currently working with a fantastic Client based in Rochdale that has over 50 years of experience in the financial services sector.
Working hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Responsibilities:
Working for a well-established company within the financial services sector, it is the responsibility of the Collections Department to minimize any potential losses to the company. It is inevitable that there will be incidences of default amongst customers. It will be the successful candidate’s job to be pro-active in identifying such cases at the earliest opportunity and to act to amend the situation. This will involve;
- Agreeing arrangements and concessions where necessary
- Identifying accounts that require recovery or litigation action and begin the referral process
- Completion and review of income and expenditure details provided by clients
- Taking debit card payments via an online terminal
- Accountability for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts
- Production of monthly arrears reports
- Establishing and maintaining working relationships with third party companies including field agents and tracing companies
Profile:
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- A background in credit control/collections
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of FCA regulations
