An established business services company with excellent growth potential are partnering with the NET Recruit team to search the market for a Collections Advisor to join the team in the Southampton area. With a strong team that is expanding, and recent growth opportunities becoming available after a large-scale acquisition, the company in question has experienced a fantastic few years and is looking to expand the team further.

The position holder will join a bustling team of developing Collections Advisors, at multiple levels, under the keen guidance of the Collections Manager. This team deal with multiple aspects of Credit Control, in both an internal and external capacity for their clients.
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assisting to manage several client accounts, handling matters relating to their credit control.
  • Proactively making credit control calls to chase current and overdue debt, with the expectation of 50-80 calls per day.
  • Providing clients with updates on their accounts and credit control situation
  • Escalating any issues up towards the Collections Manager
  • Performing against targets individually whilst contributing to the
  • overall productivity of the team
  • Undertaking any additional ad-hoc responsibilities as required by the Senior Management team.
What you will need to Apply:
For this role, applicants will need to possess excellent communication skills and have a positive telephone manner, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and the capability to act in a calm and coordinated manner. Applicants will need to be meticulous with details, showing knowledge and versatility with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, alongside accounts systems such as Sage. It is expected that candidates will have some experience within a similar credit control or collections position, handling large call volumes and customer relations. Any additional business, accounting or collections related qualifications would be a bonus.
 
What you will get in Return:
For this position, applicants could receive a salary up to £30,000, depending upon experience, with a discretionary profit & performance-related bonuses.
