Job title: Insurance Account Handler

Salary: to £32,000

Location: Glasgow/Hybrid

Purpose of the role:

Upon joining this company, who are one of the UK's largest independent insurance brokers, you will see yourself assist in their continued growth and success by servicing your own portfolio of commercial insurance clients, build relationships, act as first point of contact for clients, answer queries and provide professional advice whilst handling new and existing commercial insurance risks, quotations, renewals, MTA's, etc.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deal with new and existing commercialinsurance risks which include motor, property, EL, PL, commercial combined, business interruption, etc.
  • Provide quotations and renewals, deal with MTA's, market submission, presentations, etc.
  • Working independently, with wider team and alongside Account Executives.
  • Attend networking and conference events.
  • Build strong insurer and client relationships.
  • Ensure Acturis records remain compliant and up to date.
  • Work with clients to design and tailor bespoke insurance programmes to match their commercial insurance needs.

Experience:

  • Track record of handling commercial insurance risks in excess of £10,000 income.
  • Solid understanding of products including motor, property, EL, PL, business interruption, haulage, PI, etc.
  • Confident in building relationships and negotiating with insurers and clients.
  • Strong communicationand presentation skills.
  • Acturis experience would be preferred but not essential.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to time-manage
