Commercial Accountant

Commercial Accountant / Liverpool / Salary £45,000 - £50,000 plus a range of other great company benefits.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Accountant to join our clients growing Finance team! Our client is a very successful, long-standing business with a fantastic reputation within their sector! They now have an opportunity for a Commercial Accountant to take a lead role, reporting and working with one of their larger business units.

Reporting directly into an experienced Finance Manager, you will be joining a large, friendly and established finance team.

Key responsibilities:

• This is a broad and varied hands-on position where you will play a critical role in the financial management of your entity. Working closely with key stakeholders across your business unit, you will provide insightful analysis that will support business decision-making.
• Management accounts preparation - you will prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct variance analysis against budget and forecasts, providing explanations for discrepancies.
• Business Partnering - you will be working closely with stakeholders across of your entity to provide monthly P&L reviews, financial support and insights to drive performance.
• Monitor WIP and financial metrics, and report on financial performance.
• Analyse cost and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Support with other ad hoc group finance projects.

Key skills:

• Part or Fully Qualified.
• This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
• Strong Excel skills with data manipulation
• SAP and Power BI experience would be desirable.
