Commercial and Contracts Manager

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Commercial & Contracts Manager to join us on a 1 year fixed term contract based from our Basingstoke office.

The role

The Commercial and Contract Manager will be responsible for managing the governance of the contract lifecycle for SNG service delivery contracts. This will involve conducting commercial reviews of contract documentation, seeking advice from external legal resources, and managing the sign-off process with the senior leadership team. This role is part of the commercial team, which is an essential component of the property services directorate and will require collaboration with operational teams. Additionally, this role will work in partnership with the SNG Procurement team.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in the compilation of contracts, contractual design, and contract legal framework.
• Experience in managing the contract lifecycle with a supply chain.
• Working knowledge of contracts and standard contracting terms for the supply of goods and services.
• Significant experience in the commercial contracting and subcontracting field.
• A background in government or commercial contracts.
• Ability to plan, track, and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, to deliver a value-for-money service whilst taking actions to mitigate any risks.
• Experience in the Social Housing Sector is desirable
