This esteemed MGA is seeking a proficient Commercial Combined Underwriter to join their dedicated team, focusing on the underwriting of SME commercial package policies, including commercial combined and contractors combined, alongside a selection of personal lines insurance.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering relationships with brokers and contribute to the company's growth by actively engaging in new business generation, while maintaining the high standards of service that have cemented the MGA's reputation in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Handling new and renewal business for commercial combined/SME business on a presentation basis
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and key trading partners
  • Utilise the e-trade platform to ensure a quick turnaround for broker queries and policy issuance
  • Manage insurer and broker performance to sustain the insurer panel's viability
  • Deliver top-tier service to brokers, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively

Skills & Experience

  • At least 3 years' experience Underwriting Commercial Combined business
  • Strong understanding of the insurance market and current trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on relationship-building
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach
