Commercial Content Writer

Up to £38k DOE

Fully remote UK based role - 4 day working week

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a commercially focused content writer to join a growing tech publishers. In this role you will be the go-to in the business for customer content.

In this fantastic role you will be working closely with customers to identify and deliver commercially relevant content, often through interviews with C-Suite leaders of industry. In order to be considered for this role you must have worked in a client-copy B2B environment and be confident approaching and interviewing customers.

What will this role include?

  • Contributing to commercial content produced by the business.
  • Producing informative and engaging commercial content through working closely with customers.
  • Interviewing clients and industry experts to generate creative ideas for articles.
  • Working across all the technology titles.
  • Efficiently managing the content team, including freelance and internal staff.
  • Proofreading articles for accuracy, consistency, style and overall quality.
  • Applying SEO practices to optimise content.
  • Hosting and crafting video discussions.
  • Working closely with the Marketing team.

The ideal candidate will have/ be:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, English or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial technology journalist, content writer, copywriter, technical writer, content editor, technology journalist or editor.
  • Ability to interrogate customer briefs to achieve desired outcome.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and accurately fact-check information.
  • Excellent observation and judgment skills.
  • Superb communication and networking skills, along with an aptitude to effectively extract information.
  • Friendly and able to work in a dynamic, fast-growing business environment.
  • Able to be flexible with your working hours.
  • Agency experience would be an advantage.
