Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a South Yorkshire City Council who are seeking a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their team on a contract basis. Please find below further details with regards this position.

ROLE: Commercial Contracts Lawyer
LOCATION: North West
RATE: £20.00 to £55.00 per hour
CONTRACT: Initial 3-6 months ongoing

Please note this role is open to hybrid and fully remote applicants

The Role

A Commercial Contracts Lawyer with procurement/contracts specialism below is some of the deliverables its to work particularly on a waste contract.

  • To advise on the procurement process and assist with writing the invitation to tender.
  • To advise on the most appropriate form of contract
  • To review the specification and write the contract.
  • To advise on the responses to clarifications asked during tender process.
  • To assist with the award and conclusion of contract in readiness for signing.

The Person

  • 3 years PQE or above ideally with good contract experience including waste
  • Comfortable in managing and progressing full caseloads of Contracts and Procurement matters
  • Previous experience of working in a local authority would be highly desirable
