Commercial Contracts Manager - Aerospace Manufacturing

We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager to work for our Titchfield based client initially as a maternity cover 12 month contract with likely opportunities beyond this. This is an international aerospace manufacturing business with over 1000 products. The role is therefore busy and varied, one in which you will gain fantastic experience.

The Role

This is a Contracts Management role, spinning many plates in a busy manufacturing environment. A selection of the duties include:

• Handling customer delay and non conformity claims, negotiating acceptable outcomes
• Push back to customers on product change requests that should be chargeable
• Seeking pricing opportunities for out of contract products
• Handling day to day commercial issues which include disputes over documentation or issues relating to pricing
• Dealing directly with the customer to handle contract issues
• Some work relating to bids from a commercial and contracts perspective

The Ideal Candidate

This role could suit a seasoned Contracts Manager, or someone stepping up from a senior commercial administrator position or perhaps in between the two. People skills are important as you will engage within the business and with customers. A compliant and detail oriented individual will tend to suit this kind of environment.
