Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Finance Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the business across a wide range of areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining external relationships with suppliers, supporting senior management in minimising risk and mitigating costs, and producing all central cost budgets and forecasts

What you'll do:

As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business across various areas. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with company policies, accurately reporting costs, working closely with procurement teams, tracking performance initiatives, supporting the wider finance team, identifying issues impacting utility consumption, managing cost base understanding with stakeholders, improving processes, and maximising asset utilisation. Your commitment to these responsibilities will contribute significantly to the overall success of the organisation.

  • Comply with all company policies, including financial planning and control, health and safety
  • Ensure accurate reporting of costs in accordance with accounting standards each period
  • Work with procurement teams to obtain optimum value from the purchasing of other goods and services not for resale
  • Track performance of save to invest initiatives to auditable standards
  • Support the wider Finance team in their performance, progression, and team development
  • Identify issues impacting utility consumption and work promptly to mitigate and resolve such issues
  • Manage understanding of the cost base and cost reporting with stakeholders
  • Work proactively with stakeholders to improve processes and maximise asset utilization

  • Experience of working in a similar Finance role is essential
  • Strong forecasting and budgeting skills are required

  • 'Hands on' track record of delivering solutions within a pressurised environment is desirable
  • Proven track record of building strong working relationships with external suppliers is beneficial
