Leading corporate & commercial law firm is looking to hire a new Commercial Finance Analyst to work across all practice groups to improve financial performance.

£60,000 - £65,000 DOE

3 days in the office and 2 remotely, 9:30am to 5:30pm

Central London

The firm are looking for a CIMA qualified or part qualified Commercial Finance Analyst and data guru who can support their finance team on firmwide reporting and financial performance matters, directly reporting in the Head of Finance. The Commercial Finance Analyst will be expected to interact professionally with Partners and administrative teams to work on varied projects that include design and develop metrics, reporting and analysis to drive key business decisions.

Commercial Finance Analyst duties;

  • Supporting the Head of Finance, business services and accounts teams by analysing the financial performance of the practice groups through routine reporting and ad-hoc requests
  • Deliver financial support by reviewing requests for data, providing relevant reporting and simple analysis of results
  • Support on wider projects and initiatives to enhance financial performance and improve profitability
  • Provide support for the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Supporting with developing the reporting capability in Power BI

Commercial Finance Analyst requirements;

  • CIMA qualified, strong academics
  • Minimum 1-2 years in a financial analyst position working in a law firm
  • Knowledge of Aderant
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office: Excel - including pivot tables/formulas, PowerPoint, Access, Power BI
  • Proactive, self-learner who is motivated and results-oriented with a positive, team-player attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with lawyers and other departments
