Robert Half are recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager - seeking a customer facing candidate, providing financial and commercial insight and support, along with insight into new and existing business opportunities.

This role is Hybrid 2/3 days paying £60-70k plus superb benefits including 15% Bonus

This opportunity offers great breadth of variation, ownership and pace, whilst maintaining strong financial controls and adds value

Key Responsibilities

  • Business partner key operational stakeholders to deliver site budget and profitability targets, across multiple customers/contracts.
  • Full financial control responsibly for both the P&L and balance sheet, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting and interpretation of the operations on a weekly and periodic basis.
  • Support contractual negotiations for renewals, taking the lead Commercial role for contract negotiations of smaller sized opportunities within contract guidelines and approval paper targets.
  • Ownership of the successful financial onboarding of new contracts, ensuring good financial governance as well as delivery of targets to business case.
  • Present and lead from a Finance & Commercial perspective in customer facing meetings and reviews.
  • Carrying out financial modelling and analysis to support decision making and new business propositions and develop models and reporting to drive performance through an enhanced understanding of the internal and external commercial and financial drivers.
  • Work alongside non-financial managers to develop strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the budget and key cost drivers.
  • Build, lead, develop and motivate the finance team to build capability and succession planning.
  • Reporting and monitoring of key performance indicators and non-financials to support service delivery and contractual commitments.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual commitments and deliverable
  • Proven experience within a fast pace financial leadership opportunity (Transport/Logistics Industry experience would be an advantage).
  • Customer facing experience and ability to build relationships at all levels is preferable.
  • Be proactive, inquisitive with a passion for challenging teams to drive performance.
  • Be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards.
  • Must be flexible and respond positively and accurately to internal and external customer requests.
  • Passionate and driven, with a proven 'can do' attitude that showcases drive, energy and a commitment to CI.
  • Able to travel within the UK as required.
