Commercial Finance Manager

An established international FMCG is currently looking for a Commercial Finance Manager.This role involves providing analysis, insight and understanding of the gross margin return for all the UK and International business units within the division. The ideal candidate will act as a finance business partner as well as assisting with making business decisions by providing support to the management and Sales and Marketing teams.

• £75,000 - £80,000 including benefits

Responsibilities:

• Providing finance business partner support of the commercial teams, influencing performance through insight of key drivers and market trends
• Manging the ongoing forecasting and financial review to ensure risks and opportunities are highlighted
• Driving margin enhancement/profit improvement initiatives including structuring deals to drive optimal returns
• Preparing insightful commercial reports and analysis and identifying customer trends and issues
• Delivering analysis of sales performance on a timely basis
• Monitoring and controlling customer pricing to ensure that margins are maximised
• Reviewing and approving all commercial proposals including full financial support to the bid and tender process
• Driving the monthly business performance reporting process
• Leading and improving the budgeting and forecasting processes, including agreeing, reviewing and challenging commercial targets with business/department leads
• Co-ordinating and leading the annual financial planning process for the division
• Responsibility for overheads including rebates and the sales and marketing functions
• Estimating the return on investment for marketing campaigns
• Measuring and reporting monthly KPI’s to senior management
• Managing, coaching and developing the Commercial Finance Analyst

• Fully Qualified
• Commercial support in FMCG or retail environment
