Commercial Account Executive (Book to inherit)

Location - Wigan - hybrid-working available (3 days office/2 home)

Salary - up to £50K plus car allowance, commission, and benefits.

Our client, a staunchly independent insurance broker who continues to grow apace is seeking a Commercial Account Executive to join the team.

This is a business that has been operating for a number of years, during which time they have built an enviable reputation for service in the North West region. An exciting opportunity has now become available within their AE team. Joining the business from day one with the additional benefit of inheriting an existing, well-established client portfolio (generating circa.£200k in income) you will be supported by a capable, experienced team of Account Handlers, allowing you the time and resources to service clients and grow your book of business.

The role:

  • Identifying client needs, advising on any gaps in their insurance program, highlighting cross-selling opportunities.
  • Effectively use marketing tools, attend network events, with a view to building an effective pipeline of business prospects.
  • Liaising with internal broking team, working on broking strategies, and advising of viable markets to place risks.

Key skills:

  • Previous commercial broking insurance experience gained in a client facing role.
  • Possess excellent client relationship skills.
  • Commercially astute
  • Ideally hold, or be willing to work towards CII qualifications.
