Commercial Manager
Global engineering technology contractor requires a Commercial Manager. Applicants need experience across the commercial contract lifecycle, with particular expertise supporting front-end business capture activities and experience managing customer relationships.
The Commercial Manager will work closely alongside Commercial Management colleagues, legal, engineering and project management to develop and execute full lifecycle commercial strategies in a project/programme delivery setting. Working on transportation bids and programmes in the region of £10'sM - £10'sM, the Commercial Manager will predominately focus on front-end bids and business capture activities; reviewing customer ITTs, drafting commercial responses, governance and stakeholder partnering. The role will also entail direct interactions and relationship management with customers.
Specific duties of the Commercial Manger include:
- Develop commercial contract management strategies to support bids and proposals in transportation sector
- Relationship management - colleagues, stakeholders, customers - own senior relationships
- Mitigate commercial risk in bid and contract activities
- Guide and advise stakeholders in regards to T&Cs.
- Commercial negotiations with customers and ensure flow-down of T&Cs

Commercial Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Commercial Contract Management experience, with particular interest/expertise with front-end bid and business capture work
- Experience of working with large government or national infrastructure bids/projects (Defence, Transport, Healthcare, Telecoms, Energy, Construction, Civil Engineering etc)
- Experience with complex contracts and NEC contracts
- Experience of customer relationship management
- Degree or industry recognised qualification in Contract Management - WorldCC, IACCM, CCMP
