Legal Casework

  1. Handling a wide mixed caseload including sales, purchases and remortgages of various commercial properties, including owner occupied and investment properties.
  2. The candidate will also need to be able to deal with various lease transactions including acting for both landlord and tenant.
  3. Managing a personal caseload and ensuring that files are managed competently, effectively, and profitably.
  4. Achieving any assigned billing targets where appropriate.
  5. Ensuring that time and cost recording data is maintained for each case in accordance with the Firm’s procedure.
  6. Gaining or maintaining IT skills appropriate to a modern legal practice.
  7. Developing and updating legal knowledge in Commercial property by way of webinars, self-study, and perusal of reference materials.
  8. Compliance with the SRA Codes of Conduct and SRA Accounts Rules.

Other Responsibilities

  1. To operate in accordance with the Firms’ documented quality system as set out in the Office Manual and associated plans, policies, and procedures.
  2. Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  3. Contribute to maintaining and improving procedures.
  4. Ensure compliance with the Firms’ Equality and Diversity Policy.
  5. Undertake other reasonable duties related to the job purpose required from time to time.

Person Specification

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Practicing Certificate.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues, and professionals.
  • Clean driving licence.

EXPERIENCE

  • PQE 5 years +

  • Ability to cope under pressure.
  • Congenial and a good team player.
