• Lead management of high-value commodity packages and develop suppliers to align with total cost sourcing decisions and company requirements.
• Drive the achievement of targets related to cost control, quality improvement, and lead time reduction.
• Cultivate partnership relationships with vendors
• Develop comprehensive commodity strategies and lead cost reduction projects.
• Manage a varied workload efficiently to keep focus on key priorities.

• Proven experience in senior buying and commodity management within procurement supply chains.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiating, and influencing skills coupled with excellent commercial awareness.
• Ability to communicate effectively, managing complex negotiations and present to senior management.
• Good understanding of quality, engineering processes and materials.
• A degree qualification is essential, CIPS membership is desirable, and Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is advantageous.
