- Lead management of high-value commodity packages and develop suppliers to align with total cost sourcing decisions and company requirements.
- Drive the achievement of targets related to cost control, quality improvement, and lead time reduction.
- Cultivate partnership relationships with vendors
- Develop comprehensive commodity strategies and lead cost reduction projects.
- Manage a varied workload efficiently to keep focus on key priorities.
- Proven experience in senior buying and commodity management within procurement supply chains.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiating, and influencing skills coupled with excellent commercial awareness.
- Ability to communicate effectively, managing complex negotiations and present to senior management.
- Good understanding of quality, engineering processes and materials.
- A degree qualification is essential, CIPS membership is desirable, and Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is advantageous.
