Communications Graduate

  • Job Type: Temporary for 4 months with potential for a permanent contract. 
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 17:00 (1 hour lunch break), office based
  • Location: Cambridge
  • Salary: £17 per hour
  • They would consider graduates (just out or fairly recent) or not a graduate but grad calibre.

Reed Business Support in Cambridge is partnering up with a Cambridge based Tech company. They are looking for a Communications Assistant to join their team. If you have an aptitude for social media and are eager to learn about reporting metrics, we encourage you to apply.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Craft compelling copy and perform sub-editing for blog posts, case studies, newsletters, and event announcements.
  • Provide front-line support for press, customer, and other third-party emails, ensuring timely and professional responses.
  • Administer communications tasks, including compiling and sending newsletters and segmenting audiences in Mailchimp.
  • Support their social media presence by triaging blog comments and posts on platforms like YouTube and Facebook.
  • Assist with reporting on social metrics, monitoring media through Meltwater, and tracking website analytics with Google Analytics (training will be provided).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with email support and the ability to handle communications effectively.
  • An understanding of social media platforms and engagement strategies.
  • A willingness to learn and utilise various reporting tools, including Google Analytics.
  • A team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
