Summary

Are you a marketing professional looking for your next challenge?

Then we might have the perfect opportunity for you. We’re looking for a Communications & Marketing Officer to help implement our communications and marketing strategy for the Isle of Wight.

Interviews: w/c 29 July 2024

What it's like to work here

We’re a varied team with diverse skills, all working together with volunteers, the local community, neighbours and other partners to look after these special places for all, now and in the future.

You’ll be a Marcomms professional on the Isle of Wight, reporting to the Senior Communications and Marketing Officer. You’ll work very closely with our wider National Trust regional and national Marcomms teams as well as colleagues across the whole organisation.

Isle of Wight | National Trust

What you'll be doing

You’ll be based at our estate office in Mottistone. One day, you might be photographing at Mottistone Gardens, the next capturing stories around The Needles Old Battery. Another day, you could be exploring seasonal visitor experience programming at the Newtown National Nature Reserve, or spending a day with our rangers, looking at countryside and nature restoration work, or even on the water with the Harbourmaster on Newtown Creek.

You’ll assist on the development and delivery of the Isle of Wight Marcomms plan. Planning is important for us as a major UK tourist destination and we must adapt to fluctuating seasonal visitor numbers. But you’ll also make sure that we deliver our plans, and that we’ve got great content to feed in to our digital and social media channels, linking our visit driving work with our countryside nature conservation effort and purpose as a charity.

You’ll be flexible hybrid working across all our sites, out and about liaising with a wide range of internal and external contacts, as well as working from home. You’ll do all of this whilst working with a great team of staff and volunteers, with huge knowledge and passion, and through living our values.
