Communications & Social Media Officer – 12 month Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic individual to join a local charity who improves lives of disadvantaged communities across Ealing.

Role Overview:

 As a Communication & Social Media Officer, you will play a crucial role in promoting work through various digital platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate who is eager to learn and grow in the field of communications and social media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase our online presence.
  • Manage and update our website with engaging content.
  • Create and curate content for social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Engage with our online community and respond to inquiries.
  • Reach out to stakeholders and build networks to support our mission.
  • Represent the charity at events and be the face of our organization.
  • Monitor and report on social media metrics and website analytics.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate engaging content.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • A passion for our mission and a desire to make a difference.
  • Somali and other community languages are desirable but not essential. 

Hours:  15hrs a week (flexible hours)

Salary:  £15,600

Location:  Northolt

Start date:  end of Oct/early Nov
