We are looking for an experienced Band 5/6 mental health nurse who has a keen sense of initiative and excellent teamwork ability to work for one of the well-known Mental Health Trusts in Kent.

Description:

A Community Mental Health Nurse is a key staff member within the multidisciplinary care team and will have continuing responsibility to assess, plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate care, communicate findings, influence and drive change, and promote health and best practice, patient safety, and experience. The Mental Health Nurse will be professionally accountable to the Executive Director of Nursing and the Matron/Clinical Service Manager.

Effective communication skills and self-governance are required. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of high-level interventions and community assessment skills. Existing qualifications or a willingness to undertake training relevant to the post is expected.

Experience:

  • Registered on NMC
  • One year experience at Band 5 or above in hospital or community health care
  • Evidence of continued professional development, appropriate to the role
  • Clear understanding of CPA and care coordination role

Skills:

  • Good IT skills
  • Good understanding of the principles of the Recovery Approach
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Understanding of interagency skills
  • Previous experience in the field of work
