Community Occupational Therapist (Band 6 or 7)

We are seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our client's team covering all 6 of their primary care networks (PCNs) locations in the Epsom area. Must be willing to cover all sites.

Our client's occupational therapy department is an integral part of the hospital's multidisciplinary team, dedicated to providing comprehensive rehabilitation and therapeutic services to patients across various clinical settings. They offer services like inpatients, outpatients, specialist Clinics and community services. Their occupational therapy team consists of specialties like Neurological rehabilitation, Orthopedic rehabilitation, Stroke rehabilitation, Pediatric occupational therapy etc.

Key responsibilities of this role:

  • Provide community and rapid response occupational therapy services.
  • Conduct assessments for patients requiring rehabilitation in their homes.
  • Rapid response for patient admission.
  • Perform moving and handling risk assessments and prescribe necessary equipment.
  • Demonstrate strong moving and handling competency and flexibility in responding to rapid response requests.
  • Collaborate effectively with social services, continuing healthcare teams, equipment providers, and the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and access to a car (CAR DRIVER NEEDED).
  • Ability to work across 3 locations; willingness to work at all 3 sites is essential.
  • Full-time availability is desirable; 4 days per week if Band 6 (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM), or 3 days per week if Band 7 (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).

Pay Mechanism:

This is a Direct Engagement pay mechanism.

The pay is PAYE and the range is £22 - £26 per hour.
