Company Accountant

• Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
• Salary Range: £35,000-£45,000 dependant on experience

We are seeking an Accountant who is keen, enthusiastic, hardworking, and motivated. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, who also has a keen eye for detail and numerical aptitude.

Day to Day of the Role:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
• Contribute to year-end audit preparations and perform monthly reconciliations.
• Generate reports and metrics for financial analysis.
• Engage in forecasting and variance analysis, as well as overhead analysis and costings.
• Provide general IT support, including routine tasks and troubleshooting.
• Utilise MS Office and gain experience with industry-standard accounting packages.
• Learn and understand the main software products used by the accounts team: Sage Line 50, Brewman, and Opus Retail Systems.
• Help develop the procurement process, including vendor selection and negotiation.
• Maintain accurate records for purchases, pricing, and other important data.
• Review existing contracts and agreements to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Support the Accounts Team with reporting and analysis.
