£164-208K plus bonus and excellent benefits package.

To be successful in this role:

You will be a confident UK qualified Competition Litigation Associate with 1-3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in competition law, with a focus on litigation gained at a Top Tier Law Firm. Other requirements for this role include:

  • Experience of High Court and/or Competition Appeal Tribunal competition litigation
  • Strong academic background, with a law degree from a recognized institution
  • Sound knowledge of competition law principles and procedures, with prior experience in competition litigation preferred
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply legal principles to complex factual scenarios
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality work product and client service excellence
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations and participation in relevant training programs or seminars is advantageous

Job role and responsibilities:

As a Competition Litigation Associate, you will work closely with partners and senior associates on a wide range of competition disputes, providing strategic advice and legal representation to clients. Other responsibilities for this role include:

  • Assist in the management of competition litigation matters from inception to resolution, including case analysis, drafting pleadings, and preparing for hearings
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex competition law issues, providing insightful advice and strategic recommendations to clients
  • Collaborate with senior team members to develop case strategies and tactics, ensuring alignment with client objectives and legal requirements
  • Prepare and review legal documentation, including court filings, witness statements, and expert reports, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Liaise with clients, counsel, and external experts to gather evidence, coordinate case preparations, and support the overall litigation process
  • Stay abreast of developments in competition law and litigation trends, contributing to thought leadership initiatives and internal knowledge-sharing activities
  • Actively participate in business development efforts, including client pitches, networking events, and industry conferences, to support the growth of the firm's competition litigation practice
