We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Assistant (HCA) with experience in Complex Care to join our dynamic team. This will be supporting a 31 year old male.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Tracheal Suctioning: Perform tracheal suctioning procedures to maintain airway patency.
  • Enteral Feeding: Administer enteral nutrition via RIG/PEG/MicKey Bolus.
  • Mandatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all mandatory compliance standards and regulations.
  • Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer medications as prescribed.
  • Oral Suctioning: Conduct oral suctioning to clear airway secretions.
  • Oxygen Therapy: Manage and administer oxygen therapy as required.
  • Pressure Area Care: Provide comprehensive pressure area care to prevent and manage pressure ulcers.
  • Tracheostomy Care (Adult): Deliver expert care for adult patients with tracheostomies.
  • Tracheostomy Resuscitation: Perform emergency tracheostomy resuscitation procedures when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in complex care settings, particularly with tracheostomy and enteral feeding.
  • Current certification in Medication Administration.
  • Up-to-date training and compliance with mandatory healthcare standards.
  • Strong understanding of oxygen therapy, pressure area care, and oral suctioning techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
