SEN Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs

A Secondary school in Greenwich believe that equipping children with the skills and knowledge to achieve their true potential and inspire them with a rich and varied curriculum. They are searching for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Support Assistant for a child with Autism. This is a September 2024 start position, ready for the new academic year!

Previous experience is required for this role, as the child you will supporting has complex SEN needs.

The ideal candidate for this SEN Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs role would be a graduate searching for the perfect role to start their career in education, or an individual passionate about SEN who is looking to work alongside the best specialist staff and equipment such as Speech and Language Therapists, Hydro therapists, Psychologists and more!

Additionally, this is a perfect role to provide a valuable experience for aspiring Psychologist, SEN teachers, Therapist, Primary School Teachers and more.

  • £95 - £105 per day
  • Full-time, 9am - 3:30pm, Term time only
  • Based in Greenwich

About the SEN Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs Role

  • Provide support for pupils across EYFS, KS1 & KS2 with SEN requirements.
  • Use your creativity and imagination to excite the pupils.
  • Scope to extent permanently, with opportunities like Teacher Training
  • Continuous training and CPD opportunities
  • Fantastic SENCO and SEN provisions in place
  • Strong inclusion team, staff and SLT to support you.

Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs

  • A passion for education and creating an inspirational environment for all pupils to flourish within.
  • Previous experience working with SEN children.
  • Creative and confident to use your innovation to create fun and exciting activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for supporting those with Special Educational Needs.
