Equifind are working with a leading London investment management firm, who are in the market for a financial crime manager, to join the team for the next 12 months.

This company concentrates on the investment space and offers financial advice to a wide range of clients. The business has evolved considerably over the past five years and is well placed to continue its impressive performance.

You will support the head of compliance with all things financial crime related and be the go-to person with all requirements in this space.

Key duties and responsibilities for this financial crime manager position include:

  • Establish, manage and implement financial crime-related frameworks, policies and processes and standards across the organisation
  • Support the MLRO in day-to-day activities of the firm’s financial crime framework, leading the financial crime risk assessment programme
  • Horizon scanning on existing and emerging AML, Sanctions, Fraud, CTF and other relevant legislation, guidance and best practices
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a uniform approach to financial crime compliance
  • Provide guidance and support to business units on financial crime matters, acting as firm’s financial crime subject matter expert but holding others accountable for meeting regulatory expectations
  • Oversee and assist in review and approvals of new business relationships, transaction monitoring, and investigation of monitoring alerts
  • Oversee and assist in preparation of financial crime MI that feeds into governance forums
  • Lead investigations and prepare SARs, STORs and other regulatory body reporting
  • Support and develop growth within the compliance team to build knowledge and enhance existing working practices.
  • Maintain the overall standard the FCA expects firms to adhere to.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Have a professional qualification in financial crime or compliance
  • Degree in Law would be highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements ideally gained from a wealth management or asset management background
  • Strong experience of financial crime software to support development, implementation and effective use of operational systems from a financial crime angle
  • Previous experience designing and implementing regulatory frameworks desirable
  • Be a real team player with the highest integrity and values
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work accurately

Daily Rate/Salary

This exciting opportunity for a financial crime manager will be on a FTC of £80k-£100k, per annum, depending on your experience and sector background.

This role will be 3 days per week in the office in London with the remaining two WFH.

This will be for a minimum 12 months, which will allow you plenty of time to integrate with the team and gain some great experience.

To start in the next month, so only candidates who are immediately available or on a very short notice period.
