My client is seeking a skilled Compliance Officer to join their team on a temporary 6-month contract, with a strong potential for the role to become permanent. Description

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and systems.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure the company's policies are updated accordingly.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance-related matters.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage communication and reporting.
  • Support the risk management team in identifying and mitigating compliance risks.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certification in compliance (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance role within the banking or financial services sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK and EU financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid working environment.
