About the Role

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our Scottish sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness or Glasgow.

Salary: £55,200 - £83,000 (depending on skills and experience) + performance-related bonus + car / car allowance and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

- Manages day to day operations for critical infrastructure that underpins our Operational Technology applications across multiple Corporate and Substation sites that are owned by SSEN Transmission as well as other virtualised environments. Across all ITIL dimensions e.g. Incident, Problem, Release Management, Capacity Management etc.

- Accountable for ensuring that day to day Operations and Change activities are delivered in a manner that complies with NIS Regulations and builds towards ongoing compliance with the enhanced CAF profile.

- Responsible for defining the Infrastructure and Platforms Strategy for SSEN Transmission OT out to 2030 and beyond – this will set our aspirations around Infrastructure and Platforms Modernisation.

- Delivers Infrastructure Design and Build that supports our Change Programmes that need to deliver within OT.

- Leads a hybrid team of permanent resources, contractors and third parties to achieve this.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Extensive experience in operating On-Premise Infrastructure.

- Strong understanding of modern IT/OT infrastructure landscape and have an ability to be able to apply this to an OT context, including familiarity with AWS cloud services and how to migrate onto this platform.

- Experience in managing infrastructure deliverables from end-to-end, from requirements through to design, build and implementation.

- Proven ability to define Infrastructure strategy and a demonstrable track record of delivering against said strategy.

- Team leadership - including experience in leading and developing a team of Infrastructure analysts and managing third parties in a complex multi-vendor environment.
