Are you a passionate Computing Lecturer looking to teach in an FE environment, while working within brand-new industry-leading facilities? With a specialism in programming!

They are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lecturer to join their innovative Computing and Technology department which currently offers GCSEs, A-Levels, T-Levels, different apprenticeships (L3 - L4) and foundation degree Qualifications. Level 1-6 qualifications across all disciplines. These courses are all successful and popular, with many learners going on to pursue Higher Education and professional careers within the Technology and computing industries. The department is well-resourced with the latest technological equipment. It boasts a brand-new industry-leading state-of-the-art Institute of Technology building, dedicated entirely to Digital & Engineering. We are now looking for someone specifically delivering Computer Science with a focus on programming.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £30,000 - £43,000, depending on qualifications & experience
  • Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • 4 days teaching 1 prep day (remote)

To be considered, suitable candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • A Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g DET, PGCE, Cert. Ed) or willingness to work towards one
  • A degree in Computing, or a relevant subject area
  • Experience of teaching Computing within FE
  • Up-to-date knowledge of multiple Computing disciplines
  • Knowledge of apprenticeships (desirable)
