About the Role:

As our Conferences, Events and Awards Sponsorship Sales Director, you'll be tasked with helping to significantly grow the revenue of our expanding Events business through the sale of sponsorships to corporate partners across the globe .

Working alongside a dedicated product team including data, marketing, campaigns and content, it is imperative that you’ll have a proven B2B sales background, attention to detail, be a quick thinker, organised and work well in a team environment, both in-person as well as remotely.

In thisrole, you will take a strategic approach to targeted research, prospecting, presenting, and managing large client relationships on an ongoing basis. You’ll be confident creating proposals, pitching face to face with decision makers (generally in London or on screen) and utilising our full suite of proven marketing products/services to win and retain business. Ideally you'll already have experience selling complex events sponsorship packages to business clients and their agencies around large scale in person and/or virtual events.

Key Activities:

  • Build successful, two way client relationships with senior-level executives, tech providers, industry consultants and influencers.
  • Understand the sector strategy for each of our B2B events and help engage in the portfolio plan - annual, quarterly, and monthly.
  • Work closely with the management team to deliver on daily tasks, weekly goals and monthly budgets and to constantly improve our events for attendees and commercial partners..
  • Become an influencer within the team, within BizClik and especially within your event sectors.

Core Skills:

  • Professional, goal-oriented, sales focussed. B2B sales experience required please
  • Experience in building strong, long term business relationships.
  • Strong reporting skills.
  • Good communicator - written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational skills - time, task and diary management.
  • Efficient with LinkedIn, Sales Navigator & Socials to build networks and relationships.
  • Understand how to use a CRM system - We use Salesforce
  • Self-Belief, determination and willing to work hard.
  • Excellent presentation skills either in person or on screen.
  • Any understanding or experience in sponsorship or media sales would be desired but not essential.

Package:

  • Base Salary: £35-45k based on experience.
  • Commission - Up to 10% of Annual Billing paid monthly, realistic expectation on budget is minimum £40,000 commission in year one. Commissions are uncapped and we do have team members earning in excess of £90k p/a in commission.
