Conflicts Analyst / Lawyer

A law firm in London are looking for a Conflicts Analyst or Lawyer to join their global team.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing conflict checks on new matters globally to identify (through analysis) and resolve (through consultation) both legal and commercial conflicts of interest.
• Review new client and matter opportunities through analysis of internal and external information sources and advise partners globally in relation to conflicts and information barrier management.
• Understand and identify wider risks including reputational, sanctions, financial crime and commercial conflict issues through Matter Risk Assessment.
• Advising partners and lawyers regarding conflict check results, processes and policies.
• Liaise with the Financial Crime team on the Matter Risk assessment.
• Ensuring the London team have a close working relationship with the global teams.
• Actively contributing to the building of an effective and mutually supportive conflicts team globally
• Influence the design and optimisation of conflicts and information barrier management technology and projects.

Skills and Experience

• Law degree/LPC, preferred.
• Work experience in a professional services environment, ideally legal in this field.
• Understanding of the legal and professional regime applying to conflicts of interest and confidential information
• Strong research and analytical skills.

Salary circa £63,000.
