We're working with a leading international law firm looking for an experienced Conflicts Advisor to join their established Risk & Compliance team, supporting their UK and Middle East offices. This is a remote, out-of-hours role, perfect for someone who enjoys autonomy, high-quality work, and a later workday schedule.
The Role:
Review and clear medium-to-high complexity conflict checks across a global network.
Manage the entire conflict check process, from initial review to record creation.
Act as the first point of contact for urgent queries outside core hours.
Analyse client terms and advise on bespoke conflict clauses.
Collaborate with legal teams to resolve legal, commercial, and confidentiality issues.
Flag sanctions risks and escalate complex matters where appropriate.
Support new team members through mentoring, recruitment assistance, and technical guidance.
Contribute to key risk and compliance projects and team initiatives.
About you?
2–3 years' experience in conflicts within an international law firm.
Familiarity with conflicts software (e.g., Elite/3E, Intapp Open or similar).
Solid knowledge of conflicts rules (SRA, Law Society of Scotland/Ireland, DIFC) and an understanding of US ABA rules where applicable.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and client service skills.
Calm, methodical, and confident under pressure.
Strong communication skills with a proactive and organised approach.
