Job Title: Locum Construction Lawyer

Location: London – Office attendance once a week

Rate: Competitive daily rate

Venn Group’s specialist legal recruitment team are in partnership with a forward thinking Local Authority based in London in their search for a Construction Lawyer.

The role of Construction Lawyer is offered for an initial 3 month period with the probability for an extension and for longevity in the role.

This position is offered on a full time basis and some remote working will be offered.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Legal Executive (CILEx) with a proven track record of successfully handling Construction, contracts and procurement law within the Local Government Sector.

Duties shall include:

• Advising and having conduct of legal files on behalf of all the clients of HB Public Law, including local authorities, housing associations and schools and to provide advice, representation and undertake research as requested in relation to Construction,Contracts, Procurement & Information matters;
• Negotiating on agreements surrounding IT contracts and commercial agreements
• Majority case load of construction matters

Candidate Profile:

• Current practising certificate
• Must have significant construction legal experience
• Local government experience
